In the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s schedule changes and an overnight stay in King Edward VII’s Hospital in London last week, the 95-year-old monarch canceled another important item on her calendar. According to BBC News, Queen Elizabeth will not attend the COP26 climate change summit in Glasgow, Scotland, in person. Doctors advised her to rest after her apparent health concerns. Instead, delegates at the meeting will receive the sovereign’s pre-recorded remarks. The Daily Mail reported that United States President Joe Biden is among the 120 countries represented by world leaders at the Scottish Event Campus.
